Well, well, well...From reading my title, you should probably be able to guess what I'm going to talk about. Yup, that's right, I am going to talk about the annual fire drill that took place in school this Thursday. Firstly, I want to thank Mr Chia for this because if he had not arranged the fire drill, I would have not gotten anything to write about in this entry.
Anyway, the fire alarm went off as I was on the brink of falling asleep during our PE-theory lesson.(Not that I don't like this lesson, but I was very tired that day) The announcement said that there was a fire on the third floor and we were all to assemble at the field immediately. Once we went outside the class, we saw the signs "FIRE" "FIRE" pasted on the door of the kitchen. Come on, I'm sure there's a more realistic way of showing that there's a fire in the kitchen.
I was really curious to see how the Sec 1 Victorians would react to this situation. However, as all Victorians, they were calm and orderly and headed to the field as if they had practised this drill a hundred times before. The searing heat from the Sun in the field almost made me faint but thankfully, we were back in our classes in less than 20 mins. I was actually quite frustrated by the timing of the drill. Why did it have to take place during the last period of the day? Why not Maths or Mt?? I think the staff in charge of this drill purposely chose the last period of the day so that we would not take our own sweet time to assemble as all of us wanted to get home quickly.
The next day, Mr Chia was very impressed by our orderliness and praised us. He even went on to say that this was the quickest time we had taken to evacuate in recent years. Anyway, although we tend to underestimate the importance of this drill, this drill is vital as we will know what to do in case of a REAL fire. I also have a suggestion. I think we should have another drill to know we should go in case there is a fire in the FIELD.
That's all folks and see ya next time...

My second entry for Ca1- Something unusual that happend on that day
Well, well, well... Here I am writing my second post for my blog in as many days. Anyway, I am supposed to be writing about some unusual that happened to me recently.
By the way, I had a proud record of not sleeping in public transport for more than half an hour. However, to my utter disappointment, that was all to change on Monday the 13th...
After school had ended on Monday, I was totally stressed out.(Need I give you a reason??) To take a break, I decided to play the most beautiful game in the world-football. Although our team won, I was totally exhausted and my whole shirt was drenched with sweat. After a quick change, I went to the canteen to grab a drink. By then, it had started raining cats and dogs. To make a Monday even worse, it showed no sign of slowing down and I had to run to the bus-stop which was a couple of hundred metres away.
By the time the bus arrived, I was barely able to stand up and was shivering with cold. Thankfully, the bus was almost empty and I settled down for a ten-minute nap. When I woke up, I was startled to see the bus totally crowded. I looked out the window and was startled to be in Orchard Road! I looked at my watch and to my utter horror, it was 1 hr 15mins since I had boarded the bus. I was actually supposed to alight an hour ago!
I hurriedly alighted and decided that I would take an mrt back home. The passers-by in the bustling Orchard Road kept on staring at me as if I was from another planet.(With my drenched shirt and my muddy shoes, their actions were probably justified)
Once I got home, I immediately headed for a nice, long shower. Unfortunately, I could not relax as I had a chemistry test and Maths test...
This was certainly a very unusual and frustrating day for me.

My First Entry For Ca1- A moment that I enjoyed with my family
I always look forward to the weekend as I can spend time with my family and also, I can use it to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Most importantly, I use the weekend to get away from the ever-stressful school life.
However, this wekend was extra-special as my uncle, who currently resides in Japan, stopped at Singapore for the weekend as he was returning from his vacation. We went to the Jurong Bird Park as he was very keen on birds.
As soon as we entered the sanctuary, a plethora of flightless birds greeted us. We also met some talking birds, which for some reason, did not seem to respond to our countless attempts to make them talk. I was also very fascinated by the Emperor Penguins as they stood very still for what seemed like an eternity. And I thought my life was boring!
However, my favourite part of the Park was the "Canopy". It was basically a gigantic enclosure in which we observed birds in their natural habitats. They had constructed birdges at dizzying heights which enabled us to get closer to the birds. I also bought some nectar from the nearby stall. Birds of all shapes and sizes and colours were arriving on my shoulders to drink the nectar. Before I left the park, curiosity got the better of me and I went to the Penguins enclosure. Surprise, surprise, the penguins were in the same postion as a few hours ago!
This was a moment that I certainly enjoyed with my family.
